OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Tash and I have been an interior designer for over eight years. In this time, I have seen first-hand the
significant amounts of natural stone, granite and porcelain tile wastage generated from residential and commercial projects. By partnering with various Western Australian stonemasons, our aim at Orenda Interiors is to minimise this product wastage and create homeware masterpieces with what would normally end up in landfill. To ensure we are reducing our carbon footprint, we utilise and transform only the offcuts and leftovers into our
beautiful homeware products. But we don't stop there! No harmful glues or chemicals are used in the process.
All stones, granites and porcelain tiles are sealed with a drying oil pressed from the seed of Vernicia fordii (the
Tung tree). Our bases have been padded with fabric made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and attached with
non-toxic, low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC the bad stuff!), water-based glue. Additionally, all packaging and marketing items are locally sourced, eco-friendly, and easily recycled at home. Even the
fabric you see in our beautiful website photos is Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) approved!
All of this has contributed to our companies ethos that beautiful things do not have to be at the expense of the
environment.
